DESCRIPTION:Description \nThis presentation will be discussing how to identify relationship abuse\, support adolescents who are struggling in an abusive relationship and the key elements of universally promoting a healthy relationship. \nPresentation Topics: \n\nScope of the problem\nDefinition of relationship abuse\nWarning signs – “RED” Flags\nBarriers to leaving an abusive relationship\nHow to support a teen\nPromoting healthy relationships\nTools & resources for teens\, parents\, educators\, and other professionals\n\nThis presentation is an introduction for understanding the complexity of adolescent relationship abuse and setting the stage for promoting healthy relationships. Recommended audiences: educators\, coaches\, counselors\, school administrators\, social workers\, batterer intervention facilitators\, and other professionals working with young adults. In addition\, parents\, caregivers\, and school board members are welcome to attend. \nFor NCEDSV Non-Members who need CEU’s\, the cost to attend this training is $35.
