A Needs Assessment on Nevada’s Response to Domestic Violence

From September 2024 through October 2025, the Nevada Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence (NCEDSV) conducted a comprehensive statewide needs assessment examining Nevada’s response to domestic violence. Under the guidance of the Grants Management Department at the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) and a dedicated planning committee, NCEDSV gathered input from survivors through interviews and collected survey data from direct service providers, community members, and law enforcement professionals.

To ensure the findings are accessible and useful to a wide range of audiences, the information has been compiled into three distinct report formats.  Providing multiple report formats ensures the assessment findings are transparent, accessible, and actionable for all audiences across Nevada.

Full Report – A comprehensive document that provides detailed methodology, data analysis, findings, and recommendations. This version is intended for funders, policymakers, researchers, and community partners seeking an in-depth understanding of the assessment process and results.

Condensed Report – A streamlined summary highlighting key findings, themes, and priority recommendations. This version is designed for partners and decision-makers who need a thorough overview without the full technical detail.

One-Page Brief – A high-level snapshot of the most critical findings and action steps. This format is ideal for quick reference, presentations, and broad community sharing.
